Account Fund Profile (AFP)

UCSF's Account Fund Profile and Department System

UCSF uses the Account Fund Profile (AFP) system to maintain its coding structure for recording financial transactions and generating reports. The Account Fund Profile (AFP) system is a legacy application developed by the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) to maintain the chart of accounts structure UCOP uses to report its financial information. UCSF maps its coding structure to the UCOP chart of accounts to produce required reports for UCOP.

UCSF developed the Department System to maintain its own department code organizational structure and its user-defined code for tracking activity across the other elements in the chart of accounts.

Only authorized Controller's Office personnel are given access to maintain AFP and Department System information.
