Automated Reset
Set Up ProcessYou need to complete a one time automated reset set up process before you can automatically reset your password.
Reset/forgot or Expired password
You can automatically reset a password if you have completed the one time automated reset set up process.
RESET PROCESS:
- Go to UCSF PeopleSoft log in page: https://peoplesoft.ucsf.edu/psp/fsprd/?cmd=login
- Click on "Forgot Password" link
- Enter your user id
- Enter a response to your predefined question
- Click "Send Password" button
- If your response to predefined question is correct, PeopleSoft emails you your new temporary password.
- Change your temporary password to a personalized password.
If you have not completed the automated reset set up process:

After five (5) unsuccessful login attempts you will be locked out of PeopleSoft.

- Contact your supervisor with request.
- Supervisor will need to provide your access information to the departmental access administrator.
- The Departmental Access Administrator will submit a request to Journals Security Administrator.
